Up

While playing the classical guitar, one needs to raise the left foot slightly so the guitar sits right. I needed just such a footrest, so I took some scrap and made one. The lid is parquet of maple and poplar. The sides are poplar, and the bottom is red oak. The plug under the lid is also red oak and fits tightly to keep the lid shut. The little feet are maple. The finish is linseed oil. Being a box, it a good place to stash anything small that I would need to bring along.
